PhD Dr Sergi Salabert - Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine

Hi, My name is Sergi I'm from Barcelona, Spain. I started studying Chinese medicine back in 2009 after a period of interest in Eastern philosophies such as Buddhism and Daoism. I have finished a four years program including Western and Chinese medicine perspectives back in my country. After finishing my studies I was offered a scholarship to complete a master's degree in Chinese medicine at the Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese medicine for a period of four years where later I did join also my Ph.D. program. During this time I stayed in different hospitals assisting traditional doctors in their work and later translating for them. This allowed me to integrate the practice with the real heirs of this great tradition. I have grown a great interest in the art of healing which has made me travel around the world to see different versions of traditional medicine. I stayed with remote tribes in the Peruvian and the Indonesian jungle. I also spent time in the Thailand monasteries where I meditated for long retreats and I also had the opportunity to follow a Japanese master in Spain for several years during my stays in Barcelona. In all this, I found a common place for the understanding of pathology which is what Chinese medicine calls "shen", a term that translates as spirit or mind. All these ancient medicines have systems to ensure that the emotions of the community are as settled as possible since they recognize that a healthy and happy individual makes a stronger community. In nowadays society, where most of our physical needs are satisfied by modern systems of production, the importance of the emotional aspect plays a huge role in the disease onset and also in its relief. There is a Chinese saying that goes like this: "the inferior doctor treats the body while the superior one treats the spirit, the superior doctor prevents disease while the inferior treats it". Since the first year of my studies, I have been considering this sentence. This is how I came into contact with flower Bach remedies that are a genuine way to deal with emotions and that combine very well with Chinese medicine treatment. This combination of methods brings me great satisfaction when I see the changes in my patients who get not only a release of their physical complaints but also a transformed attitude towards life challenges that reverts to long-lasting health benefits.I'm very happy to take this job opportunity at Gozo acupuncture clinic where I'll do my best to help the needs of those who come to seek treatment.

Allison Tremblay - Women's Health Therapist
Allison Tremblay_edited.jpg

I am Allison, certified holistic therapist and nutrition for women. I am fascinated by nature and its
power of healing since my youngest age and I know how powerful is the connection between our
mind, body, and soul, specifically the physical body’s connection to our emotional state.
I was diagnosed with PCOS and endometriosis at the age of 20. After starting my own journey of self-
healing, I felt guided to help other women to heal like I did with a natural and holistic approach.
I help women overcome pain caused by hormonal imbalance, restore harmony in their body and get
more confident in their daily life with a holistic approach that involves nutrition, herbal supplements,
healthy life-style and, mainly, relaxation and releasing healing therapy.
I am also a qualified Yoga teacher RYT ®200 (Yoga Alliance), course completed with the New
Humanity School in India. My Yoga practice is focused on Kriya techniques and Hatha style, each
session brings healing.I have been teaching in retreats , private classes and online for more than 2
I support women by guiding them on how to reconnect with themselves by being more present, in
their body, confident, and by having more compassion and love for themselves and their
surroundings. I will help you reconnect with the part of yourself you forgot about… to find inner
peace .
By changing your thoughts and your mindset, you can restore harmony and recover a healthy body.
Remember that a healthy mind brings a healthy body.
Deepak Chopra said: “You must find the place inside yourself where nothing is impossible”.
Are you ready to find yours and rediscover yourself?
With love and gratitude…
