Chinese Remedial Massage - Tuina

Tuina is a traditional Chinese therapeutic massage that uses techniques such as pressure, kneading, stretching and mobilisation.

It can be particularly suitable for people experiencing:

Muscle tension • Neck and shoulder discomfort • Back discomfort • Stiffness • Reduced mobility • Physical fatigue

Tuina can be used independently or alongside acupuncture and other Chinese Medicine approaches.

The treatment is adapted according to your presentation, with the aim of supporting comfortable movement and overall physical wellbeing.

Cupping & Gua Sha

Cupping and Gua Sha are traditional Chinese Medicine techniques that may be used alongside acupuncture or as a treatment in their own right.

Cupping uses specially designed cups to create suction on the skin and underlying tissues.

Gua Sha uses a smooth-edged tool to gently stimulate the surface tissues.

Both techniques are commonly used as part of traditional approaches to muscular tension, stiffness, physical fatigue and discomfort.

Treatment is adapted according to your individual needs. Temporary circular marks or redness can occur after cupping and usually fade naturally over several days.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on form of bodywork.

The practitioner uses light touch and subtle techniques while working with the body's tissues and patterns of tension.

Sessions are generally slow, quiet and deeply relaxing.

People may seek Craniosacral Therapy for:

Stress and overwhelm • Headaches • Neck tension • Chronic pain • Recovery and relaxation • General wellbeing

Sessions are personalised and the approach can be particularly gentle for people who prefer a less physically intensive form of bodywork.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage focuses on deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue and is particularly suited to clients looking for more targeted therapeutic bodywork.

It may be appropriate for:

Muscle tension • Tightness • Restricted movement • Physical discomfort • Training-related tension • Recovery

Salvatore is a physiotherapist with extensive experience in deep tissue massage and bodywork.

Treatment pressure and techniques are adapted to the individual rather than simply applying the deepest possible pressure.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage is designed for active people and those experiencing physical tension or the demands of regular training.

Sessions may incorporate:

Targeted massage • Dynamic stretching • Myofascial techniques • Focused pressure • Movement-based techniques

Treatment can be tailored towards recovery, mobility, physical preparation or simply helping your body feel more comfortable after activity.

You do not need to be a professional athlete to benefit from Sports Massage.

reflexology practitiner.jpg

Reflexology

Reflexology is a traditional complementary therapy involving focused pressure and massage techniques applied primarily to the feet, and in some approaches the hands or ears.

It is often chosen by people looking for a calming treatment to support relaxation and general wellbeing.

Reflexology can be particularly appealing during periods of:

Stress • Emotional tension • Fatigue • Life transitions • Women's health and fertility journeys

Sessions are adapted to the individual and provide dedicated time to slow down and reconnect with the body.

Rolfing.jpg

Rolfing

Rolfing® Structural Integration is a form of bodywork that works with the body's connective tissue, or fascia, and patterns of movement and posture.

Rather than focusing only on a painful area, Rolfing explores how different parts of the body relate to one another through movement and structure.

People may seek Rolfing for:

Postural and movement concerns • Long-standing muscular tension • Physical discomfort • Restricted movement • Body awareness

Salvatore is a physiotherapist with extensive experience in Rolfing® Structural Integration.

Sessions are individually tailored and may involve both hands-on bodywork and movement awareness.

Choosing the Right Treatment

Not sure which treatment is right for you?

You do not need to diagnose yourself or know which therapy to book.

Simply tell us what you would like help with — whether that is pain, physical tension, fertility, women's health, stress, recovery, relaxation or general wellbeing — and we can help direct you towards the most appropriate practitioner or service.

Different approaches may sometimes be used alongside one another, but your treatment plan will always be based on your individual needs.
